The Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (CTASLA) will host a symposium on transportation entitled, Transit-Oriented Development: Places, Spaces, and Showcases. The event was created to bring together design professionals, urban planners, transportation and economic development specialists, elected officials and community advocates to discuss how transportation and design specifically affect the cities and towns of Connecticut.The symposium will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the State Capitol, Room 310, in Hartford, Conn. Featured panelists will represent the University of Connecticut as well as the Conn. Department of Transportation.Registration is $95 for members of ASLA or the American Institute of Architects, $125 for non-members and $40 for full-time students (student ID required). A continental breakfast and lunch are included in the cost of registration.
