BUILD Magazine, a relatively new publisher for the construction and property industry, was scheduled to announced their 2020 architecture awards in late June, but competitors will have to be patient as the selection process has been temporarily delayed. Kaven Cooper, awards executive for BUILD, cited the recent volatility in the social and economic landscapes as a driving factor in the decision to pause the award progression.

 

The approach leading to the determination of award winners takes place in several steps. First, nominees are collected of through a number of medium's including social media and BUILD's online visitors. The nominees then submit evidence in support of themselves leading to a team of judges collaborating to assess each nominee and the evidence provided. The judges have been known to look for the most dedicated, creative and awe-inspiring parties.

The company expands the recognition of the awards by offering promotional items to commemorate and market each achievement. The promotions take many different forms including client brochures, web banners, magazine content, and more. Winning parties are also encouraged to self-market their accomplishment.

Cooper has ensured the company's audience that the awards will still be given out at a later date and that the process will resume as circumstances allow. Until then, the evidence submission deadline has been extended to help nominees provide the clearest picture proving their case for an award.
