The State of Connecticut's Department of Administrative Services (DAS) created its first position of Landscape Architect On-Call this year, recognizing the collaborative value that landscape architects bring to a project team. The role of CTASLA's Advocacy Committee includes meeting with the public sector to explain the role and wide breadth of services offered by landscape architects. ![]() The Connecticut ASLA Chapter provided a variety of educational programs in 2017 for members and allied professionals. They offered programs on roofing, hardscape solutions, planting, and sustainability. ![]() CTASLA's Emerging Professional Committee gathered momentum by partnering with local organizations for events including bowling and a beach cleanup. The committee also hosted prep classes for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination. ![]() Two 2,500-dollar scholarships were awarded to students through the Karen Ann Shopis-Fox Memorial Scholarship, named after the dedicated Connecticut landscape architect who passed away in 2011. ![]() Comment Form is loading comments...
