CELA Announces 2015 Academy of Fellows





CELA, the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, has honored 5 individuals with induction into the Academy of Fellows.

CELA, the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, has announced five new inductees into its Academy of Fellows. They include Prof. Bernard Dahl, Purdue University; Prof. Gary Kesler, Penn State University; Mr. William Johnson, University of Michigan and Johnson Johnson and Roy, Inc.; Dr. Patrick Mooney, University of British Columbia; and Dr. Alfred Simon, University of New Mexico.

Membership in the Academy is limited to five individuals per year. Nominations and elections are conducted by CELA Fellows with assistance by the CELA Board of Directors.

CELA is an international organization of institutions and academic practitioners offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in landscape architecture. Those elected to the Academy of Fellows have demonstrated a lifetime of accomplishments in teaching, scholarship, and service ""?(R)?that add-up to excellent endeavor sustained over an extended period of time and that is truly inspiring and significant." CELA Fellows provide on-going support to CELA including sponsorship of a Keynote Speaker at each CELA Annual Conference.
