Canyon State Academy, located in the heart of Queen Creek, Arizona, is a notable academy that promotes the rehabilitation of young adults through the Rite of Passage program. It is a signature and symbolic religious and enterprise training village that provides a place where families, students, staff, visitors, and community can learn, congregate, and enjoy a variety of worship and gathering experiences.

The vision for the campus and commitment to create a holistic community - a place of belonging and a safe environment for the students to grow and flourish in - was a driving factor in the design process. The Youth Village and Rite of Passage Program strives to build a sense of pride and work experiences for their students in order to teach them the value of employment and integration into society.

EPS Group provided landscape architecture and planning for this unique project that included site plan layout, hardscape, and landscape design for the overall campus as well as the design of the baseball field and Sports Complex. Throughout the site, a multitude of features were incorporated, including gardens, plaza areas, water features, shade canopies, site furnishings, and pedestrian corridors with decorative promenades and crossings to enhance circulation. Each element of the design helped bring this project to life and will sustain it for many years to come.
