During its annual convention in mid-November, members of the CLCA elected Aaron Huxley of SiteOne Landscape Supply as the association's 2018 president.

Julie Saare-Edmonds, a senior environmental scientist with California's Department of Water Resources, briefed attendees at a workshop presented by the CLCA's Water Management Certification Program in October, 2017.

New opportunities created by California's new landscape water regulations was the focus of the workshop for the Water Management Certification Program. Earlier in 2017, the program won a prestigious "Power of A" Silver Award from the American Society of Association Executives. The program, which launched in 2007, is the only performance-based certification program dedicated to saving California's water. Since 2012, program participants have saved over 10.5 billion gallons of water.
