This course is 20 miles outside of Moscow and took five years to construct due to weather, material importing and construction personnel but mostly the short construction period of four to five months a year. The overall cost of the project was about $140 million USD of which the clubhouse, maintenance building and academy building costs were about $90 million. The cart paths are herringbone pavers and the client imported mature trees from far away in Russia and other countries making the landscape a very costly part, but the client wanted and likes trees and privacy. The project has water on all the golf holes from ponds and lakes, all man made and part of the design strategy.
