SACRAMENTO ?EUR??,,????'??? Employers are required by recent legislation to update the workers?EUR??,,????'??? compensation poster and written information on workers?EUR??,,????'??? compensation for newly hired employees. This legislation, Assembly Bill 747, was authored by Assemblymember Thomas Calderon last year. It became effective in January. The poster must contain the name of your workers?EUR??,,????'??? compensation carrier, who within the company is responsible for handling claims, and to whom injuries should be reported. It must state how to get emergency medical treatment as well as the kinds of events, injuries, and illnesses covered by workers?EUR??,,????'??? compensation. The employee?EUR??,,????'???s rights must be listed, and the existence of time limits for notifying the employer of an injury must be stated. Other information is required as well. If there are Spanish-speaking employees, it must be posted in English and Spanish. New employees must receive this same information in a written format, either at the time of hire or by the end of the first pay period. If you employ Spanish-speaking workers, you must provide this brochure in English and Spanish. Insurers are required by the new law to provide the poster and the brochure to their policyholders.
