The client requested a total overhaul of his backyard to create the feeling of being at a beach resort in Tulum, Mexico. We started with an organic-shaped pool with a large boulder waterfall, then included a meandering lazy river for floating around a sunken swim-up palapa bar. To really play up the beach vibes, we added a sand volleyball court, a cozy fire pit with bench seating for 10, and a playhouse cabana for the kids.
