Bob Peterson, a member of the HBA of Northern Colorado and founder of Associates in Building + Design, Ltd. (ABD), has been certified by the NAHB Nominations Committee as the sole candidate for the 2024 Third Vice Chairman. With over 40 years of experience in the construction field, Peterson maintains contractor licenses for residential and light commercial work in multiple jurisdictions, and his company specializes in custom homes and high-end remodeling.

 

In his statement, Peterson emphasizes his commitment to a succession planning, as his daughters now own and manage ABD while he serves as a consultant. He has also been actively involved in local, state, and national association activities and serves on several committees, including NAHB's State and Local Government Affairs Committee, the NAHB Budget & Finance Committee, and as Area 13 National Area Chair.

As a proponent of continuing education, Peterson teaches several education classes through NAHB to his peers, believing that "a person who is not learning is not growing and is passionate about helping others better themselves."
