The Hardscapes & Water Features Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. Bingen Road is one of several great projects we are excited to showcase on LandscapeArchitect.com.

 

The basis for this Project was to renovate a dated raised paver patio that was offering our client absolutely no cover for daytime use in the hot south facing afternoon sun. The renovation was part of a larger, over-all property make-over which would unite the landscape features, invigorate continuity in the plantings and offer an outdoor living space that was usable over multiple seasons and for family events as well as elegant entertaining. Part of the program included revamping the entire irrigation & lighting of the landscape. Our clients enjoy travel and have a beautifully appointed interior which reflects many adventurous journeys which became our influence on the choices of materials for the project. The raised patio was constructed of beautiful ledge rock and exotic Gold Travertine. The completed landscape also offers extensive boulder work, a field stone knee wall, a native grass and wildflower planting palette and a bird & butterfly garden.
