Biden Appoints Landscape Architect Once Again to Agency That Oversees Public Works in Capital

Lisa E. Delplace Became Seventh Member

Lisa E. Delplace, FASLA became the seventh member of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts. She is the only landscape architect currently a member.

President Biden recently appointed Lisa E. Delplace, FASLA to the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts (CFA). With her addition to CFA, the Washington, D.C. based agency will once again have the expertise of a

landscape architect.
"The Commission and our nation will benefit tremendously from Lisa's broad expertise across multiple scales of landscape architecture and her experience with federal projects," ASLA President Eugenia???,???Martin, FASLA, explained.
Delplace is the CEO of Oehme, van Sweden (OvS). According to the OvS website, Delplace's "extensive knowledge of ecological processes and her deep commitment to their artistic execution result in a strong sculptural relationship between architecture and landscape."
