APLD Announces 2021 Award of Distinction

 
The Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) announced their 2021 Design Award Winners. Susan Cohan received the APLD Designer of the Year for her work creating a landscape that would "sustainably unify a group of disparate elements and would remind the homeowners of happy experiences they had in the outdoors." The design features a "large deck that links to the sauna, seating and pool and allows the freedom to run the dock and plunge in the upper pool. The lower filtering pool extends the landscape into the yard beyond." The APLD Best of Show winning project,' Chorleywood Garden' was designed Gavin McWilliam and Andrew Wilson of McWilliams Studio.

2021 International Landscape Design Conference
Due to the ongoing pandemic, APLD hosted their virtual International Landscape Design Conference on December 1st through the 4th. The Conference featured professionals from around the globe and included Garden Tours in England and Pennsylvania, Plant Hunting for Design Solutions in Argentina and Uruguay, and Designing Gardens for the Benefit of All in Massachusetts to name a few. We look forward to celebrating in-person next year in Chicago from July 21st through 25th, 2022. www.apld.org
