The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the ASLA Fund recently released a guide titled, Towards Zero Emission Business Operations: A Landscape Architect's Guide to Reducing the Climate Impacts of Offices.

 
The guide was built to assist landscape architecture firms in navigating to zero emission offices seamlessly. It outlines over 110 strategies that firms can implement to help reduce their business and project greenhouse emissions by 50% to 65% in 2030 and to achieve zero emissions by 2040.

The guide offers ways to measure their carbon footprint and how to develop a climate action plan for reduced emissions. The source was created by landscape architect, Ronnie Siegel, ASLA, who interviewed 19 industry leading companies and firms to develop a comprehensive plan.

"Decarbonization, electrification, and the transition to renewable energy create new opportunities for landscape architecture firms. By measuring emissions, making a plan, and taking action, any firm can get on a path to zero emissions," said Ronnie Siegel, ASLA.

This resource comes after the ASLA Climate Action Committee and Corporate Member Committee released over 70 questions that landscape architects can ask to advance their climate goals.
