The Prairie Gateway ASLA Chapter, which serves members in Kansas and western Missouri, recently announced the individuals elected to the 2025-2026 Executive Board.

 

Anthony Malone, PLA, ascends to President as Celine Armstrong steps into the role of Past President. Malone's newly elected successor is Andrew Buchwitz, PLA, who will serve as President-Elect until Fall 2026. Chris Sanders will serve as Treasurer; Joy Rhea, PLA, as Secretary; and Nick Staib, PLA, as Trustee. The Vice President team includes Elsa Stoffel, PLA (Public Relations); Maria Landoni, PLA (Advocacy); Miranda Scott, PLA (Sponsorship); Madison Quincke (Programs); and Avery Nichols, PLA (Membership). Lamont Turcotte, PLA, will serve as the Wichita Member-At-Large.

In his first letter as President, Malone urged members to provide feedback on the chapter's collaboration with CLARB regarding uniform licensure standards. He also highlighted the ASLA's petition opposing a proposal by the Bureau of Land Management regarding public lands, indicating a presidency focused on the influence Landscape Architects have on policy and legislation.
