On September 20, the Chapter teamed with the Landscape Architecture Department at Iowa State University to host the 1st annual Iowa ASLA PARK(ing) Day. The event encourages members, students, and designers to transform metered parking spaces into temporary parklets.

A few days earlier, the Fall Conference and Awards Lunch was held at the Lake Iowa Nature Center.

In May, the 2019 ASLA Iowa Annual Golf Outing was held at Bos Landen Golf Club. In April, the Mayor's Annual Run and Ride was held. Proceeds from the event went toward the newest phase of the Des Moines River Trail.

As seen in LASN magazine, December 2019.
