The Indiana Chapter found ways to still participate and stay active during the second year of the pandemic.
We continued with our Advocacy efforts at the State and National levels.

In support of fellow South Bend Indiana native Pete Buttigieg becoming Secretary of Transportation, the Chapter showed support through Official Correspondence as well as continued advocacy in the State House.
The INASLA Chapter Awarded Scholarships to students from Indiana Universities accredited in Landscape Architecture. Caitlin Osburn from Ball State University and John Battista from Purdue University were this year's recipients.
Former INASLA President and longtime member Joann Green, ASLA of Landstory received the Claire Bennett Legacy Award for 2021 which is awarded to a member who has gone above and beyond in their longtime service to the Chapter.
Although it looked different this year, Earth Day Indiana was an in-person event once again.
The Earth Day Indiana event has grown to become what the national Earth Day Network has called one of the most successful annual Earth Day events in the country. It is the largest one-day environmental event in the state and is free to all participants. The Chapter held a face-painting booth while educating children on Landscape Architecture in Indiana.
The Indiana Chapter was proud to add three members to the ASLA Council of Fellows in 2021. Katie Clark, FASLA; Taylor Siefker Williams Design, Sean Rotar, FASLA; Purdue University and Jonathon Geels, FASLA; Troyer Group were inducted into the Council in the Fall of 2021.
Our Annual INASLA Golf Outing at Top Golf garnered a large participation. It was the first Social Event of the year and greatly supported by our Sponsors.
Our President-Elect Kris May, ASLA of Context Design and Former Trustee David Gorden, FASLA of Mark M. Holeman Participated in Tour de Trees 2021. The in-person ride was a great success and an incredible five days of riding through Colorado along with virtual participants as well. The 2021 event managed to raise $244,825 in support of the TREE Fund! The Indiana Team logged 4675 miles.
