ASLA Conference Focuses on Inclusive Design

Conference to Take Place in Nashville, Tennessee

ASLA upcoming Conference will take place at the Music Center in Nashville, Tennessee from November 19 through 22, 2021 and focus on 'designing shared spaces.

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) upcoming Conference will feature new approaches to more inclusive design at the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture at the Music Center in Nashville, Tennessee from November 19 through 22, 2021 while focusing on the overall theme of 'designing shared spaces.'

This year, the Conference will include plans and designs from landscape architects that promote and improve community health, climate change adaptability, and inequalities.

"The conference this year is perhaps the most urgently needed event ASLA has ever held," stated Torey Carter-Conneen, CEO of ASLA, "At no time before in history have, we faced more critical issues that require the unique planning and design expertise of landscape architects."

The Conference will welcome 300 exhibitors and over 6,000 landscape architects and students while also featuring several sessions about climate including, Equity Through City-wide Heat and Urban Forest Management Planning, Design with Carbon: Reconsidering Landscape, from Planning to Soils, and Collaboration on Nature-Based Solutions is Key to Resilient City Infrastructure.
