The CEO of ASLA is being recognized for his contributions to advancing LGBTQ Equality by Staff
Torey Carter-Conneen, ALSA CEO, has been promoting human rights in the workplace for a long time, serving in the past as president and CEO at the LGBTQ Victory Fund and Institute. He has worked in leadership positions for a wide variety of organizations, like the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Center for American Progress, and Shepard's Table, a community organization in Maryland that provides food to those that need it. The Washington Business Journal, the award presenter, stated that, "These leaders are openly blazing the trail for diversity and inclusion in the corporate world. Our honorees work to raise the bar with programs, practices and policies that advance LGBTQ equality and leadership in the workplace throughout the DMV and beyond."
