APP's Assist Landscape Contractors

Techo-Bloc wanted to use the iPhone in a novel way to assist landscape contractors on the job site. They approached and Culture to create a version of their online catalogue. What they didn't expect was our commitment to creating a category defining, novel landscaping tool on the iPhone.

Using Techo-Bloc's app, landscape contractors use the phone's gyroscope, much like a pedometer, to accurately calculate linear square feet, area and elevation. The app automatically generates a bill of materials for Techo-Bloc products that can be converted to a job estimate and bill of lading. With built-in reference tools like product guides and installation videos, the app is designed to help contractors take the guesswork out of planning and implementation.

What We Did

1. Created an industry-first planning tool for accurately measuring a landscaping job's square footage and materials cost.
2. Incorporated a suite of interactive tools, reference guides, installation videos, product images and catalogs into a seamless mobile experience.
3. Built features in that allow landscape contractors to easily show clients, ideas and coordinating products.
