The Landscape Architecture Foundation's Case Study Investigation (CSI) program will occur February 4 to August 5, 2019. It is a collaborative program that combines faculty-student research teams with designers to record high-performing projects that demonstrate economic, environmental and social benefits. Select members, known as CSI Research Fellows, will lead the research teams. A $1,000 honorarium and $9,000 will be given to these members in order to support a student research assistant.Design firms can apply with certain projects, which are then selected based on a few factors. Practitioners who take part in CSI have the chance to earn up to 20-course equivalency Professional Development Hours through the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System. Special consideration will be given to projects that exemplify a strong narrative and/or potential for benefits associated with "resilience or diversity, equity and inclusion." Faculty and firms interested in the CSI program are encouraged to apply and must complete applications separate from the design firms.Applications and project proposals are due November 30, 2018.
