Each year, Park Pride, a nonprofit organization in Atlanta that works to improve parks through programs and funding, hosts Parks & Greenspace Conference. This year it is set to be held at the Atlanta Botanical Garden on March 28th.

 
The theme this year is The Parks We Need Now since according to Park Pride, "no longer are parks nice-to-haves, parks are essential to our everyday quality of life. We turn to parks to exercise, to play, and to safely socialize-parks are as critical to our health and wellness as clean, safe drinking water."

Speakers will also identify remedies that park systems can take to meet pressing needs like funding strategies and management protocols, parks that contribute to health needs while creating resilient to climate change, and finally parks that unite communities from within and meld cities together.

The event will also include a conference program that is made up of tours and lectures led by experts and will examine the theme.
