With the recent passing of the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act, AmericanHort has announced that they will be hosting a webinar to help provide guidance on the updated legislation. The changes to the PPP include the covered period, the loan maturity and deferral period, payroll cost thresholds, and updated forms of forgiveness. All of these alterations will be discussed in the session which is set to take place on June 26 at 11:00am ET.

 
Four panelists will be leading the hour-long webinar. Two of the speakers, Tal Conley and Craig Regelbrugge, are with AmericanHort as the director of government affairs and the senior vice president respectively. Both of which were contacted for further insight but were not immediately available. The other two panelists are Kala Jenkins and Beth Swanson from K-Coe Isom, a national agricultural consulting firm. These four industry leaders will lead "an in-depth discussion on these latest developments with the PPP and a brief update on the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) loan program."

The webinar is available to green industry businesses and AmericanHort members.

Additionally, the organization has several events coming up. On June 25 they have another webinar titled "Garden Retail Innovation in 2020 - Key Learnings and Takeaways." As well as upcoming AmericanHort Quarterly Advocacy Briefs with the first one scheduled for June 24. The event promotion read, "AmericanHort premium members get exclusive access to the AmericanHort Advocacy and Research Team during this Quarterly Advocacy Brief webinar series. Attendees get the latest news from Washington D.C. and are able to ask questions on how it affects your business." The other two will take place in September and December. They are also planning their "Cultivate'20 Virtual" event for July 13-16.
