Two of Manhattan’s most watched and well known residents—Lola and Pale Male, two red tailed hawks nesting on a windowsill at 927 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan since 2002, are again in the news. Lola has vanished! She hasn’t been seen since December 18. It’s surmised she’s nesting in bird heaven. Pale Male, however, isn’t pining. He already has a new ladybird in his life. Truth be told, Pale Male has been playing the field since the 90s.
