Joins from FHWA
The American Society of State Highway and Transportation announced that Brandye Hendrickson is joining the association as its new deputy director. Hendrickson was previously the Federal Highway Administration's deputy administrator in July 2017 and served at acting administrator in 2017 and 2018. "I'm excited about continuing to serve the transportation community in this new role and joining such a great team at AASHTO," said Hendrickson. Prior to joining FWHA, she also served as commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation and led the Indiana State Personnel Department. Hendrickson is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington. "She has a deep knowledge of the challenges facing surface transportation and that knowledge is going to directly benefit AASHTO and our member departments of transportation," said AASHTO's executive director, Jim Tymon.
