Thanksgiving Point Curiosity Farms by Laura Khoueir, Landscape Structures International
A must-visit destination in the heart of the Utah Valley, Thanksgiving Point is known for its world-renowned Museum of Ancient Life, the breathtaking Ashton Gardens, and the interactive Museum of Natural Curiosity. This year, the rebranded Curiosity Farms exhibit added to Thanksgiving Point's legacy of innovation and fun with an inclusive playground that blends imaginative play with functional design and nods to Utah's rich agricultural roots. This new playground is more than just a place to run around - it's a space where children of all abilities can explore and learn through play.Farm-Inspired FunThe Curiosity Farms playground brings the charm of the countryside to life with its innovative, farm-themed design featuring custom silo and windmill play equipment. The centerpiece - a towering, windmill-inspired play structure - evokes the rural charm of a working farm. This structure delivers thrilling heights to explore while overlooking a shaded area. From the windmill, users race down a sprout-colored slide to ground level, where there are opportunities for active exploration along the turf-covered hill and net climbers.
