Traffic bollards come in a variety of designs to provide the top of the line functionality to prohibit vehicle access in a number of different applications for campuses, municipalities, stadiums, resorts, parking lots, cemeteries and a number of others.

At campuses, removable and collapsible bollards can be used to secure maintenance vehicle entrances, stopping unauthorized vehicular traffic. Light duty removable bollards can be used to secure parking stalls from unauthorized use. Removable and collapsible bollards can be used to stop unwanted traffic from loading docks and shipping and receiving areas. Bollards can be used to secure pedestrian areas from dangerous vehicular traffic.

Bollards are essential tools for municipalities. Municipalities use removable and collapsible bollards for emergency vehicle access ?EUR??,,????'??? allowing emergency vehicles access when needed and stopping all other unwanted vehicular traffic. Bollards secure walking and biking trails, keeping pedestrians safe from unauthorized vehicles on the trails. Municipal facilities can be protected by bollards ?EUR??,,????'??? helping these municipalities save money in damages caused by unauthorized vehicles.

Other facilities such as cemeteries and resorts will find that bollards are needed for their restricted access areas. These types of facilities need to limit vehicle access to a number of areas including loading docks and maintenance areas.

TrafficGuard bollards currently come in two general forms. The first is the collapsible bollard. This type of bollard functions by removing a locking pin (locked in place with a padlock) and dropping the bollard down, allowing it to be driven over by vehicles. This keeps unwanted vehicles out of designated areas and allows authorized personnel into those designated areas when necessary. The single post in particular was designed for fire lane access; in the case of an emergency the bollard is capable of allowing an emergency vehicle to push it down for access. Collapsible bollards are great visual and physical deterrents to unauthorized use.

The second type of bollard is the removable bollard. A removable bollard can be taken out of a ground sleeve set in concrete to leave a flush mount when the bollard is removed. These bollards are extremely functional, ideal for situations where there will be heavy foot traffic. One of the foremost features of the removable bollard is how the flush mount allows both pedestrian and vehicle activity when removed. When the bollards are in place they are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they are a formidable visual and physical deterrent as well. Removable bollards are available in a variety of sizes depending on the level of security needed.
