This travertine marble sculpture is entitled 'Hammer and Wheel #2'. It is located at a residence in Beverly Hills, California. In this version of 'Hammer and Wheel', the 'millstone' portion of the sculpture becomes more of an emanation. It has the quality of being a sun.
This water feature is located in the beautiful lobby of Watercourse Way Bathhouse Spa. Other stone elements were also created for the lobby such as a bench, stone columns and counter tops. Other water features by Yoshikawa can also be found at the spa.
The design for the memorial arch is based on the arches of Fire Station 27 in Hollywood, California. The names of the fallen firefighters are flanked on both sides by waterfalls.
