It was the late 1800s. New York City required that all buildings higher than six stories be equipped with a rooftop water tower. Barrel maker William Dalton saw this as a natural opportunity to expand his business. In 1894 he hired Polish immigrant Harris Rosenwach. When Dalton died two years later, his widow sold Rosenwach Dalton's lumber, tools, and goodwill for $55. As other family members came to the US to join Harris, Rosenwach Tank Company was born.

Through the decades, the Rosenwach family shared a vision of expanding the company to a "one-stop shop" for new water technologies, historic building preservation, outdoor site furnishings, and more. They knew that offering all services under one roof would eliminate the need for subcontractors while offering clients more cost efficiency.
Sitecraft evolved from the Tank company because of the amount of premium wood the company had in its inventory from making wooden Tanks. Today, for finely designed outdoor furniture, Sitecraft has been the Architect's choice for four generations. Along the way, they've distinguished themselves as craftsmen who have mastered creating curves out of solid wood. Sitecraft built on this mastery to include custom designs in wood, metal, and recycled plastic, resulting in an unmatched repertoire that not only complements, but defines your site.
In 1995, Herbert Rose Building Restoration, United Tower Maintenance, AMR Mechanical, Cool Water Technologies (CWT), Sitecraft and more became part of the umbrella entity of Rosenwach Group. Today, the Rosenwach Group continues to grow, adding new companies and services to the synergy.
