This year marks the 12th year of Rain Bird?EUR??,,????'???s participation in the Rose Parade. And although summer just arrived, the design for the new float is well underway.
Last year Rain Bird?EUR??,,????'???s Rose Parade float, “Natural Beauties,” had a theme of lizards and their environment. It received the 2007 Judges’ Special Trophy for most spectacular showmanship and dramatic impact. Before that, the company floats had won nine awards, including the most prestigious award, the Sweepstakes Trophy in 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999 and 1998.
The Rain Bird float themes are based on promoting environmental preservation and the central role that water plays in sustaining life. The chassis of last year?EUR??,,????'???s float was engineered to support over 13,000 pounds of water that was prominently on display.
