Doug Brown

Doug Brown is a Senior Landscape Architect with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and has over 20 years of experience in the landscape development industry. In his current position, Doug oversees a roadside research program totaling over twelve million dollars. Many of these research projects address issues related to sustainable erosion control practices that enhance stormwater pollution prevention.

Jack Broadbent is a Supervising Landscape Architect, at the California Department of Transportation ?EUR??,,????'??Caltrans?EUR??,,????'?? in the Division of Design, Landscape Architecture Program His past 20 years Caltrans work experiences includes work in Design, Construction, Maintenance, and Corporate Policy. Some career highlights include:

Developed an award winning public plaza with a bike / pedestrian trail system along the San Francisco Bay waterfront.

Managed multiple landscape construction contracts on Route 85, worth $10 Million.

Implemented Caltrans Maintenance Storm Water Quality Program and the Nation?EUR??,,????'???s first Maintenance Storm Water Quality Best Management Practices Handbook.

Designed new methods for intergraded vegetation management and roadside re-vegetation. Currently, Jack is responsible for Caltrans Landscape Architectural design standards and the States highway roadsides.
