Presented by Tom Ash, water management expert

Tom Ash has over 25 years of experience in the fields of water use efficiency, public education and horticulture. As the Water Conservation Coordinator at Irvine Ranch Water District, he created successful conservation programs for homeowners, homeowner associations, landscapers and the building industry. He has assisted public agencies in Georgia, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona, Oregon, Hawaii and is a contributor to the U.S. Drought Policy Task Force and the AWWA. Tom authored the Water Preparedness Plan for the National Nursery and Landscape Association.

In 2000, Tom was the recipient of the first ?EUR??,,????'??Excellence in Water Conservation?EUR??,,????'?? Award presented by the California Urban Water Conservation Council. An advisor to Sunset Magazine and the Australian Landscape Industry, he developed the first studies using ET controller technology to reduce water demand and urban runoff starting in 1997. He is the author of Landscape Management for Water Savings, published by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

Tom is the Director of Conservation for HydroPoint Data Systems in Petaluma, California.
