WNLA Announces Speakers for The Big Show 2002

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Western Nursery & Landscape Association (WNLA) recently announced speakers for The Big Show 2002, scheduled for Jan. 6-8 at the Hyatt in Kansas City, Mo. Plant expert and scholar, Dr. Michael Dirr and industry consultant, Judy Sharpton will share their expertise with show attendees and exhibitors.

Dr. Dirr, University of Georgia, has a reputation as a legend in the field of horticulture and his work with students at the undergraduate and graduate levels continues to strengthen the industry. His lectures and writings have fostered an appreciation for new plants. His Georgia Plant Introduction Program has introduced over 40 new cultivars into the nursery trades.

Judy Sharpton will be returning to The Big Show to help turn plant and landscape experts into marketing experts. Judy is the Professional Marketing Consultant to WNLA. She is the owner of Growing Places Marketing in Atlanta, and speaks at both national and international engagements.

The WNLA is a five-state regional association that includes the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma, and The Big Show is the largest nursery show between Chicago and Denver.
