Winning Big in Louisville

A visit to the Walker Mower booth at the recent GIE+Expo netted one landscaper a needed tool for his business – a $14,000 mower – all for just trying out their productivity calendar (and being randomly chosen from over 300 others who
did the same).

After the recently concluded GIE+Expo in Louisville, Ky., Joel Owen of Landsmen Forest, Lawn & Garden in Banner Elk, N.C., went home with more than a bag filled with literature and swag. He was selected from over 300 entrants as the winner of a Walker Mower Model T25i with a 48-inch collection deck - a prize valued at $14,000.

All of the potential winners visited the Walker booth and used their productivity calculator to see how much more productive they could be with the Walker Mower than competitive products.

Owen says his visit to the show had a specific purpose, and he believes he found it.

"While we feel like we have always provided great service with a product to match, our primary goal at the GIE show was to find products that would enhance our final results even more," he says. "We have always been familiar with the Walker family of mowers but maybe thought we had to focus on walk behinds and other zero turns. The guys in the booth did a great job of not only helping differentiate between those that look like Walkers but the earning potential for our company towards productivity. Improved results and increased profit . . . Win/win!"

The EFI engine for the prize was donated by Kohler. Owen picked up his mower at Rhinehart's Saw & Lawn
in Marion, NC.
