From core-drilled flush-mounted well lights which provides light in hardscape areas, to path lighting to help guests navigate safely along pool edges, to water feature lighting to add drama to the space. Fixtures were based on a warm 2700 kelvin, varying wattages from 1 to 10 watts depending on the application. Most of the job was labor-intensive w/ core-drilling and running wire underneath concrete and pavers for the porte cochere, front of house entry and the garage door area.

Three transformers were used with astrological timing for trouble-free synced timing. A 2-man crew worked on/off for over 4 weeks as we had to work around the pool and pool house construction crews, so communication with the construction crews provided to be helpful for proper scheduling with minimal time loss for our staff. Inside the pool house we installed low-lumen output downlighting with it's own switch to allow the client ability to relax inside the space without the need to always use the brighter 120v overhead task lighting.

The upcoming Lighting Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
