Wealth Building Summit Announced

The summit is being organized by Ron Edmonds and Jeffrey Scott, consultants in the green industry who help their clients buy and sell firms and build wealth. They will present practical ideas for improving personal wealth, increasing discretionary time, and building the value and salability of businesses.

Creating and accumulating wealth as a landscape business owner will be the topic for a just-announced summit that will take place in Louisville, Ky., during the week of the Green Industry Expo.

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, keynote speaker Mike Bogan, CEO of LandCare, formerly TruGreen LandCare, will share his insights on the industry and his experiences from 25 years in the landscape business, and his involvement with acquisitions, integrations, private equity and what buyers are looking for.

Green industry consultants Ron Edmonds and Jeffrey Scott will present practical ideas for improving personal wealth, increasing discretionary time, and building the value and salability of businesses.

The all-day program will also include:

1. Panel Discussion with owners who have hands-on experience in the acquisition and sale of businesses.
2. Case studies and exercises to reinforce the content.
3. Networking with liked-minded contractors.
4. Take-home tools to help with implementation.

The program will help lawn and landscape business owners understand how to:
• Develop a game plan for building wealth.
• Understand options for succession; begin to develop a plan
• Identify key areas of their businesses that need strengthening; develop strategies to address weaknesses.
