Happy 250th to The United States of America!

 
I'm writing this before, but you are reading this after all the celebrations and fireworks. Hope you had an Awesome 4th of July.

There are so many great things about America. So many firsts, so many achievements, and so many advancements. America is the first democratic republic in the history of man. The first to unite all the regions of a vast land and give the vote to all the citizens. As the melting pot of entrepreneurial opportunity, we 'discovered' electricity, lit the world, built the telephone, harnessed combustion, mass produced transportation, built the radio, split the atom, made a computer, and put a talking camera in everybody's hand. In less than seventy years we went from flying 40 yards to landing on the moon, and we're about to covert from driving on the ground to droning to work.

Yep . . . America is a pretty cool country. And it's beautiful, too . . . In part because it's also the birthplace of the Landscape Architect. We're the first nation to formally recognize the importance of the way we use the land and we're only getting started . . .

So . . . Happy Birthday America! It's time to celebrate this awesome country, for all its greatness and for all its quirks, and it's a good time to congratulate Landscape Architects for helping to preserve, develop, and restore the beauty of this great nation!
