Water Rules Tighten in Northeast Georgia

With drought continuing, Jackson County, Ga. officials were planning in late October to eliminate exemptions that let landscape contractors irrigate while homeowners watched plants die.

Exemptions for landscapers could still be granted, however. But they will only be granted on a case-by-case basis.

Like the rest of the state, Jackson County is at level-four water restriction. But by declaring a ?EUR??,,????'?????<

The plan was to enact the total ban, then handle requests for exemptions on a case-by-case basis.
