Course Description:

The WELO ordinance was passed at the state level in 2006 and has by law been adapted by all cities and counties in the state of California. This ordinance dramatically affects the entire landscape industry from the professional to the end user. How do we the landscape professionals address this ordinance and how do we continue to prosper in the future? How do our clients have to adjust their future landscape development and maintenance? What do we lose and what do we gain?

From this course attendees will learn what cities and counties require in the state of California; how it impacts the landscape industry; how to continue to generate a profitable business and much more.

Biography:

Craig Hutchinson is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in landscape architecture. He is a respected member of the industry who has received many awards, including an irrigation award from the CLCA. Craig has also served as past president for the CLCA East Bay Chapter and been a member of ASLA Bay Area Chapters. He is currently practicing landscape architecture design and consulting.
