WASLA Announces Award Winners


Roxhill Bog, by Charles Anderson, received a Design Merit award from the WASLA

SEATTLE?EUR??,,????'??+The Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects recently held its biennial awards celebration recognizing professional landscape architectural design projects, planning and analysis and related work in the state.

The awards celebration, held at the Frye Art Museum, featured projects in five general categories: research and communication; landscape planning and analysis; residential garden design; works in progress; and design.

The WASLA state chapter award winners are:

  • Research and Communication: Merit award to Ecological Planning, Dr. Forster Ndubisi.
  • Landscape Planning and Analysis: Merit award to High Point Natural Drainage by SvR Design Company; honor award to the Blue Ring, Mithun.
  • Residential Garden Design: Merit award to Bird Watcher?EUR??,,????'???s House, Belt Collins.
  • Works in Progress: Special mention to Lewis and Clark Station Camp by Otak; special mention to Snohomish County campus by Site Workshop; honor award to Oxbow Park, Jones & Jones.
  • Design: Special mention to Islandwood, Berger Partnership; special mention to Lake Washington Environmental Education Sequence, Charles Anderson; special mention to 500 Area of Discovery Park, Charles Anderson; merit award to Roxhill Bog, Charles Anderson; merit award to Kreielsheimer Promenade at MOM Hall, Gustafson Guthries Nichol; honor award to Seattle Justice Center, Gustafson Guthrie Nichol and Swift and Company Landscape Architects; honor award to Nordheim Court, Mithun; honor award to Cedar River Watershed Education Center, Jones & Jones.
