Brilliance LED, a Carefree, Ariz. manufacturer, developer and distributor of light emitting diodes (LEDs) for the landscape industry, reports it has designed and developed a wafer LED meant to create “washing effects” on outdoor landscape structures. Such effects are particularly effective on walls.
The new landscape accent lighting LED product took more than a year to develop, according to company founder Steve Gold. He says the 2.2-watt wafer is the only wafer to use a Nichia chip, which fits into a bi-pin device to give the illusion of a wide wash of color. Its low temperature, he asserts, offers maximum energy savings, while providing dramatic effects.
