OLYMPIA, Wa.- Voters in Seattle approved a plan to expand parks and preserve open space, while a state-wide measure, Initiative 745 would have required 90 percent of state and local transportation funds to be spent on road construction, improvement, and maintenance. The Initiative failed with 58 percent voting "No."
