ValleyCrest Companies, which asserts it is the largest privately-held landscape firm in the U.S. (10,000 employees and nearly $1 billion in revenue), announced April 4, 2008 the acquisition of Concepts in Greenery, a landscape services company based in Stuart, Florida.

Founded in 1993 by Dan Steinberg, who manages the company with partner and co-owner John Rose, Concepts in Greenery has steady grown its market presence for landscape maintenance and installation services along the Southeastern Florida coast.

Mr. Rose will continue with the company as branch manager of the maintenance operation, and Mr. Steinberg will stay to spearhead sales of landscape installation services.

“Concepts in Greenery is a company that we have been impressed with for some time due to its high quality work and outstanding reputation with their customers-they pride themselves on doing the best work in town,” said Roger Zino, president of ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance. “The company’s success is built upon a great group of more than 200 employees—from our point of view, the company’s most important asset,” he added.

The addition of Concepts in Greenery adds to ValleyCrest’s growth in Florida, where it has been the largest landscape service provider since 1989. This acquisition follows closely on the heels of ValleyCrest’s acquistion of Tropics North Landscaping, a south Florida landscape development and maintenance company.
