US/Mexico Border Grant Proposals




US Mexico-Nogales Border. The U.S.-Mexico Environmental Program: Border 2012, in coordination with the Border Environment Cooperation Commission, is now accepting proposals for projects in the California/Baja California and Arizona/Sonora border region. Selected awardees may receive up to $100,000 each.

The last day to submit proposals is June 30 for grant workshops in California, Arizona regarding the U.S. EPA and Border Environment Cooperation Commission request proposals for U.S. and Mexico Environmental Border, 2012 projects

Eligibility is open to U.S. and Mexican non-governmental organizations; local and state governmental agencies; industry associations; universities; Mexican federal agencies; U.S. tribes and Mexican indigenous communities.

The last day to submit grant proposals is June 30, 2009. Successful applicants will be notified on September 4, 2009.

The U.S.-Mexico Border 2012 Environmental Program protects the environment and public health for 10 states on both sides of the 2,000-mile border, including 26 U.S. The Border 2012 seeks to reduce pollution in water, air and on land, reduce exposure to chemicals from accidental releases, and improve environmental stewardship.
