The University of Rhode Island recently announced a new fully online program specializing in Community Planning. The graduate certificate is a 12-credit program that can be stacked with other program to earn the Master of Public Administration, Master of Environmental Management, and other online programs.

 

Classes begin September 8, 2026, while applications will be accepted through August 4. The program will provide "a strong foundation in the principles and practices of community planning and development, with a focus on land use, environmental planning, and urban design."
