WASHINGTON?EUR??,,????'??+An advisory panel charged by the National Capital Planning Commission and the District of Columbia Office of Planning to study the South Capitol Street Corridor will present its findings at NCPC?EUR??,,????'???s January meeting. The meeting, to be held on January 8, will feature the Urban Land Institute Advisory Panel?EUR??,,????'???s preview of a detailed report that it plans to release later this month calling for the immediate redevelopment of the corridor into a new and vibrant gateway to the nation?EUR??,,????'???s capital. The panel will unveil the key findings of its study, including recommendations for unifying the area?EUR??,,????'???s quadrants, developing mixed-income and mix-use developments, exploring potential for light rail, and replacing the Frederick Douglass Bridge. Also on the Commission?EUR??,,????'???s agenda is a request to approve final asphalt paving materials for Pennsylvania Avenue at the White House, and an informational presentation on the Commission?EUR??,,????'???s revised Environmental and Historic Preservation Policies and Procedures.
