University of Connecticut students were awarded the CTASLA Honor Award and Merit Awards.
The Connecticut chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (CTASLA) awarded two students in the University of Connecticut landscape architecture department for their community-based ideas.
Brendan Pugmire and Matthew Bacon were awarded the 2025 CTASLA Honor Award and Merit Award, respectively. The projects were developed in their junior years.
Any student is eligible to enter the contest if they are attending the school or live in the state. The award winners were selected by a jury from the ASLA Michigan chapter and were selected from three entries.
LASN reached out to director and associate professor at University of Connecticut, Jill Desimini for comment but at the time of publication had not heard back.
