The ULI has more than 40,000 members worldwide, and their Spring Meeting typically draws 3,000 of the most engaged members of the institute. Focuses for the 2018 meeting include the reinvention of urban areas to draw in workers and businesses, which the Detroit metropolitan area has become a prime example of. The Host Committee will be tasked with maximizing the visibility of Detroit real estate to attendees. Midtown Detroit has emerged as a symbol of new development and growth within the city, and the meeting aims to highlight the success following the difficulties the city faced.
