The UT Tyler softball field played host to the 2008 NCAA Division III West Regional softball tournament, the 2008 Easton Classic, and numerous high school playoff games.

Floyd was presented with the award at the TTA annual convention in Fort Worth held Dec. 8-10. Each year the TTA presents awards to the best football, baseball, softball, and soccer fields in the state based on nominations received from its membership.

UT Tyler began its softball program in 2005 and the Patriots are 63-19 all-time on their home field. Floyd was hired as the University?EUR??,,????'?????<
