Roger Jennings Aasen, 52, and Robert Eddy Francis, 39, two Auburn, Calif. landscapers were recently arrested and booked on felony charges of diversion of funds and conspiracy among other offenses, reported the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities received a citizen’s complaint and served a search warrant on Golden Sierra Landscaping, the business in which the two owned and seized financial records. The information was used to find victims who reportedly had paid for landscaping services they never received. The investigation, which lasted approximately four months, revealed five victims that had been defrauded out of $140,000 said the sheriff’s office. The men were released from jail with the promise to appear in court.
